Dr Rowe will be leaving at the end of March.

Dear Patients,

I will be leaving Hall Grove Group Practice at the end of March.  I have enjoyed working in the Practice for the past 13 years.  As you may know we GPs have been working under increasing pressure making it more and more difficult to deliver the standard of care that we desire.  I hope that the situation will improve at some point in the future.  I would like to thank my patients for their kind appreciation over the years and I will miss you all.  I know that my colleagues in the Practice will continue to look after you well.  I wish you all the best in the future.

Dr Ingrid Rowe

Have your say on how local NHS funds should be spent

…………………………………………………………...............………………..….............…

The NHS is facing a huge financial challenge and growing demand for services.  In east and north Hertfordshire, the local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is responsible for making sure that taxpayers' money is spent wisely, so that our 597,000 residents can have access to high-quality health services in order to stay as healthy as possible.  The CCG would like to hear your views on how difficult decisions about NHS funds should be spent and hear your suggestions about ways in which we can make savings.  To complete the survey  please click on the following link: www.surverymonkey.co.uk/r/local-NHS-spending-survey   The survey is open until 20 March 2017.  For  more information please click here.

Purple Star Award

…………………………………………………………...............………………..……

Hall Grove Group Practice have become the first practice in Hertfordshire to receive the ‘Purple star award’ for high quality to care to patients with learning difficulties.

Over the last year we have put in significant efforts working towards achieving this award. Dr Benfield took the lead in this area, had several meetings with representatives from the Hertfordshire learning disability team, and undertook further training. Our reception staff put in work to increase the number of patients attending for an annual health check. These were conducted in a double appointment, and included efforts to improve social care, as well as medical health care, and plans established to reduce the risk of being admitted to hospital. Information was disseminated to improve care given by both clinical and non-clinical staff at the practice. We have made waiting room adaptions and carers information was given to non-paid carers.
