Notice:

Hall Grove Group practice are making some changes to the way you can order your prescriptions from the 1st of October.

To improve patient safety and reduce medication waste we are changing the way repeat prescriptions are handled at Hall Grove Practice.

From 1st October we will no longer be accepting medication requests from community pharmacies.

Where patients have been having their medication ordered by a pharmacy in the past, they will now need to use one of the below 2 options.

  1. You can use the NHS webpage below or download the NHS App. Visit: www.nhsapp.service.nhs.uk/login

In addition to being in control of your medication ordering this will also give you access to everything the NHS app has to offer; including being able to review your medical record and see test results.

You can nominate another person – for example a friend, neighbour, carer or family member who can access your record through the NHS app and order your medication for you. This process is called having a PROXY. Please speak to reception for more information.

  1. You can bring your prescription slip to the surgery. If you don’t have one of these, you can get one from reception or your pharmacy. The prescription slip has a list of your repeat medications on it. Simply tick the medication you require and leave it at reception. You can also post a completed prescription slip to us.

If you need help downloading the NHS app, getting an NHS log in or understanding how to use it please look at the following website: www.nhs.uk/nhs-app.

If you currently use a third-party pharmacy app to order your medication, please check with the provider whether it is linked to the NHS App.

If you need any more information, please speak to the reception team.
